NEWARK, NJ- A car fire in Newark early Saturday was extinguished by officials, according to local media sources.

At approximately 3:30am, officials responded to a vehicle fire near 25 Hunter Street in Newark. The Newark Fire Department was able to extinguish the blaze before any residential homes or buildings were significantly damaged, and no one was reported to be in the vehicle at the time of the fire.
