JERSEY CITY, NJ – A Port Authority Officer who was seriously injured after being hit by a drunk driver last month, has finally left the physical rehabilitation center and received a hero’s welcome.
Officer Peter Siano suffered serious injuries on April 28th when he was struck by a drunk driver on Route 139 in Jersey City.
Siano was one of the four police officers securing a previous crash scene when Tiwana struck a media, a JCPD vehicle, and Siano.
The driver, Amandeep Tiwana, 27, has been charged for assault by an auto, driving while intoxicated, and multiple vehicle offenses.
