NORTH BERGEN, NJ – Authorities have located the driver who struck a woman in James J. Braddock Park last month, according to the Daily Voice.
20-year-old Diana Smith, of Delaware, hit the 47-year-old female victim with a black Honda Civic at the intersection of Boulevard East and Riverview Drive North at about 5 p.m. on July 13.
The accident left the victim with serious injuries. She was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center.
At the time of the accident, a male passenger bailed out of the car and fled the scene on foot, while the driver took off in the vehicle. The victim was left in the street.
The black Honda was found in Elsmere, DE. Authorities then identified Smith as the driver on the day of the accident.
She has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, among other crimes, and is being held in Hudson County.
