SADDLE RIVER, NJ – The occupants of a vehicle that caught fire on Route 17 in Saddle River on Friday evening escaped the incident unharmed.
According to a local news source, the engine of the vehicle caught fire along Route 17 South at about 10 p.m.
The driver was able to pull to the side of the road and then exit the vehicle without being injured.
Several fire department vehicles came to the scene to help knock back the flames and also block traffic and make the scene safe.
