MONROE, NJ – According to New Jersey 101.5, 19-year-old Army Reservist Christopher Pina died on Saturday night after he fell from his bike while it was latched onto his friends moving car.
Prosecutors stated that Pina left a residence in Avenue J and arrived at a park on Avenue K late night on May 2.
According to investigators, Pina was on a bike that was latched onto the open passenger-side window of a friend’s moving car. It is unclear whether the bike was latched purposefully or accidentally.
Pina lost control of the bicycle and fell onto the concrete road surface. He was pronounced dead at 11:23 p.m.
On Tuesday, Middlesex County Acting Prosecutor Christopher L.C. Kuberiet stated that no criminal charges have been filed, but that investigations are ongoing.
