ROSELAND, NJ (ESSEX COUNTY) – A single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Roseland, in western Essex County, took the life of a Newark man on Friday afternoon, according to NJ.com.
The accident occurred on the westbound lane of Interstate 280 near the 5.4 milepost at about 2:40 p.m. The driver, Charles L. Henderson III, 33, of Newark, was thrown from the vehicle when it overturned.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The accident did not involve other vehicles or injuries, but it did result in the closure of westbound lanes of the interstate for over two hours.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident at this time.
