NEWARK, NJ – Two people were extricated from their vehicle by firefighters after an accident in the West Ward area of Newark on Sunday night.
RLS Media reported that two vehicles crashed on South 19th Street at Springfield Avenue at about 10:15 p.m.
Emergency crews arrived to find that two people were unable to get out of one of the involved vehicles.
The victims were freed from the wreck and taken to an area hospital. One of the victims reported a serious injury to the head while the other person sustained more minor injuries.
The accident remains under investigation to determine the cause.
