NORTH BERGEN, NJ- A New Jersey State Trooper was struck by a vehicle and injured in a high-speed car pursuit on Sunday, according to Daily Voice.
It is not clear as to whether or not the trooper was inside or outside of the New Jersey State Police vehicle when he was stuck by a vehicle and injured in the midst of a stolen car pursuit.
At approximately 12:00pm, the official was struck on Route 495 in North Bergen, at Tonnelle Avenue. The chase went from the New Jersey Turnpike, to Route 1, Route 9, and Route 3. Officers closed the circle at Routes 3, 1, and 9, and there were other officials and a State Police Helicopter on the lookout for the stolen vehicle.
The New Jersey State Police were seeking a stolen black BMW X5. The vehicle was presumed to be stolen out of Totowa, and was found later in Newark.
