RIDGEWOOD, NJ – Two victims were seriously hurt and another person was injured this morning in Ridgewood in a multi-vehicle crash that may have been at least partially caused by driving under the influence of drugs.
According to the Ridgewood Daily Voice, the accident happened on Rt 17 near Paramus Rd at about 8:30 a.m.
At least four vehicles – including three grey-colored sedans and a red Chevrolet Mini-Cooper – were involved in the crash. The victims were briefly pinned within the wreckage before being rescued by emergency crews.
Two people were taken to the hospital for the treatment of severe injuries, and another person received less-critical wounds.
The accident may have been at least partly caused by drugs, as one of the drivers was found with a crack pipe in her possession.
The names of the victims have not yet been released.
