WESTWOOD, NJ- A 32-year-old driver fell asleep at the wheel and drove her vehicle through a fence and into an in-ground pool on early Monday, according to Daily Voice.
At approximately 3:00am, the driver crashed her 2021 Honda into the curb, through 2 fences and a wall, and straight into an in-ground pool near the corner of Lake Drive and Forest Avenue. She was unable to open the door or window of the vehicle to free herself. Officer Ryan Sestanovich was the first officer to the scene, and he was able to dive in and use a window breaker to free her from the incident.
The driver experienced minor injuries and was transported to Pascack Valley Medical Center.
