According to Daily Voice, a driver was in a bobtail truck—a tractor without a trailer—on Route 17 near Oldis Street when he struck the motorcyclist at about 8:30 p.m.
The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with serious internal injuries and a potential head injury.
Surveillance footage from the area confirmed that the motorcyclist was hit by the bobtail and that the truck did not stop. It is possible the driver was not aware of what happened, according to officials.
Investigators are on the lookout for the truck. They are also asking anyone with information about the accident to contact the Rochelle Park police or Bergen County authorities.
