BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A 26-year-old Bronx man was critically injured Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike near Englewood, reports Daily Voice.

New Jersey State troopers responded to the scene on the southbound express lanes at milepost 121, shortly after 2:00 p.m.

An early investigation shows the man was riding a KTM motorcycle southbound when, for reasons still unknown, he lost control of the bike and was ejected. Moments later, the rider was hit by a southbound semi-truck.

Medics rushed the victim to Hackensack University Medical Center, where he was intubated and listed in critical condition. Officials said the patient had his arm amputated following the crash.
