Motorcyclist killed in accident near shopping center in Howell

HOWELL, NJ (MONMOUTH COUNTY) – A motorcyclist died following a collision near the Howell Commons Shopping Center in Monmouth County last night, according to NJ.com.

The accident occurred near a Panera Bread, located in the 4700 block of Highway 9, at about 8:20 p.m. when the driver of a 2018 Honda Clarity pulled onto an access road in the shopping center.

The Clarity then collided with a 2020 Honda Grom motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to be ejected from the vehicle.

The motorcyclist succumbed to their injuries at about 9:40 p.m., while en route to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The other driver was not reported as injured.

The accident remains under investigation by Monmouth County and Howell Police officials.
