Motorcyclist Fatally Collides with School Bus at East Amwell

EAST AMWELL, NJ (HUNTERDON COUNTY) – A Chesterfield motorcyclist was killed when he collided with a school bus near Route 31 in Hunterdon County yesterday afternoon, according to a report by NJ.com.

The accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Rocktown Rd and Rt 31 when 63-year-old Alex Harvilla, operating a Honda motorcycle, collided with the front of a school bus that was stopped at the crossing.

He was ejected from the bike and died of injuries sustained during the crash.

The occupants of the bus – 14 passengers and the driver – were not reported as injured in the collision.

The accident remains under investigation at this time.
