ELIZABETH, NJ (UNION COUNTY) – A motorcyclist is dead after being ejected from their vehicle in an accident this evening on Interstate 278, according to local news sources.
The accident happened near the ramp for the New Jersey Turnpike, in the eastbound lanes, at about 7:20 p.m.
The operator of a motorcycle was thrown from their bike and onto the roadway, where they were found unresponsive by medical personnel.
They were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The identity of the victim and the circumstances of the crash have not yet been released.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident at this time.
