SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A Paterson firefighter was hospitalized with critical injuries Wednesday morning after a motorcycle accident on Route 23 near Franklin, reports Daily Voice.
Officials indicated the wreck occurred on a span of the highway about 30 minutes northwest of the city.
The circumstances behind the event remain unclear at this time, but the firefighter was riding a motorcycle on the way to work at the time.
First responders transported the victim by airlift to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center.
No updates on the patient’s condition have been released, and no further information has been made available at this time.
