MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – A mother and four-year-old child were struck and injured by a car while crossing the street in Chatham on Tuesday morning.
According to Nj.com, a car was westbound on Main Street when it struck the woman with her four-year-old child near Coleman Avenue at about 7 a.m.
The victims were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from Maryland, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He received summonses for failure to yield and careless driving.
