PARAMUS, NJ – Daily Voice reported that firefighters were called to the scene of a school bus fire on Route 17 in Paramus on Thursday afternoon.
The mini school bus caught fire in the southbound highway lanes near Midland Avenue in the late afternoon on Thursday. The fire started on the inside of the school bus.
No children were on board when the incident happened and the driver was able to escape the vehicle without injury.
A Hazmat crew cleaned up a diesel fuel spill at the scene of the fire.
It is unclear what ignited the fire.
