CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ – A man was killed while fleeing from police on foot after crashing on Interstate 676 in Camden on Saturday evening.
According to Nj.com, the 26-year-old man was being pursued by officers on I-676 after the man refused to cooperate during a traffic stop at about 7:30 p.m. The man had driven away from the stop but crashed his vehicle into the overpass at Pine Street and then tried to flee on foot. He was struck by multiple vehicles in his attempt to flee.
It was confirmed that the vehicles that hit the victim were not police vehicles
The man’s identity has not been released.
The accident is under ongoing investigation.
