CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ – A man was run over and killed by his own pickup truck in a shopping center parking lot in Vineland on Monday afternoon.
According to NJ.com, the 67-year-old man was in the Chrystal Plaza Shopping Center parking lot at about 12:30 p.m. when he opened the door of his running Ford F-150, fell, and was run over. The victim, Walter E. Mosley Jr., was found next to his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is unknown why Mosley opened his door or what caused him to fall.
The passenger in Mosley’s truck was allowed to leave the scene after her story was corroborated with area security camera footage.
The accident is still under investigation.
