Man killed after multi-vehicle crash involving box truck in Chatham

CHATHAM, NJ – A man was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at an intersection in Chatham Monday morning reports the Shore News Network.

The collision happened around 11:30 a.m. on Shunpike Road at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue. A driver in a Nissan Rogue was headed west when they crashed into a Jeep Wrangler that was traveling southbound. The impact caused the Wrangler to crash into a box truck on the opposite side of the roadway.

The person driving the Wrangler, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No one else was injured. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
