Man Hospitalized: Drove Convertible Into Utility Pole

RAMSEY, NJ – A man was hospitalized after driving his BMW convertible into a utility pole this morning on Route 17, according to the Mahwah-Ramsey Daily Voice.

The crash occurred around 7 a.m. on the southbound lanes of Route 17, near the BMW of Ramsey car dealership.

According to a responder quoted by the Daily Voice, the victim is “lucky to be alive.”

The driver was hospitalized, and two lanes of Route 17 were shut down while the damage from the crash was being cleared.

The crash is currently under investigation by officials.
