NEWARK, NJ- On Monday afternoon, a man was hit and killed by a New Jersey Transit Train in Newark, reports NJ.com.
At approximately 3:05pm, the individual was hit two miles east of Union Station. The accident proved to be fatal.
None of the other passengers or crew on the train were injured. The Raritan Valley line train had been coming from Penn Station New York and was supposed to arrive at High Bridge Station at 4:30. The accident caused delays.
No information about the individual struck and killed has been released. We will be monitoring for updates.
