MONROE TOWNSHIP, NJ – A man from New Brunswick is facing charges after he struck and killed a co-worker in an accident in Monroe Township yesterday.
According to NJ.com, the accident happened at 433 Schoolhouse Road at 4:08 p.m., when 32-year-old Leovigildo Comisario-Salazar allegedly struck a co-worker, 33-year-old New Brunswick man Pedro Lopez, with a work truck.
Comisario-Salazar was reportedly intoxicated when the collision occurred.
Lopez died of injuries sustained during the crash.
Comisario-Salazar is facing charges of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
It is unclear if the two men were at work when the collision occurred.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
