TOMS RIVER, NJ (OCEAN COUNTY) – A man died late last night after being hit by a car in a pedestrian accident on the Garden State Parkway in Ocean County, according to a report by NJ.com.
The accident happened near the 86 milepost of the parkway at about 11:15 p.m. when the pedestrian victim was struck by a vehicle headed southbound.
The victim, whose name has not yet been released to the public pending family notification, died at the scene.
It is unclear at this point if the driver stopped after the collision.
The accident remains under investigation.
