BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A drunk driver was taken to the hospital after crashing into a sign and mailboxes in Franklin Lakes on Sunday afternoon.
According to Daily Voice, the driver was in a Toyota Camry headed Route 208 on High Mountain Road. The 66-year-old man struck two mailboxes and a road sign before running into the guardrail at about 2:30 p.m.
Thomas Bleeker attempted to leave the scene but was foiled by police officers.
After being arrested, the Bloomingdale man was transported to Valley Hospital. He was also charged with reckless driving, DWI, and leaving the scene.
