BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – A man has been charged with assault by auto after a motor vehicle crash on Sunday, according to reports.
George Hill, 47, was drunk when he crashed his 2005 Jeep Wrangler into a tree at the Indian Trail Club located at 803 Franklin Lake Road.
The Jeep suffered damage on the passenger side, where a 40-year-old female was sitting.
The passenger was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center to treat serious injuries.
Hill was uninjured and standing outside of the vehicle when authorities arrived.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
As a result, Hill was charged with assault by auto, DWI, and reckless driving.
