JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ – A man and a dog were killed in a head-on collision in Ocean County on Thursday evening, according to NJ.com.
The crash occurred on Toms River Road in Jackson Township at about 5 p.m., when the 51-year-old driver of a Nissan swerved into the lane of oncoming traffic. There, it collided head-on with an Audi being driven by a 45-year-old man.
The driver of the Nissan and a dog in his vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Audi sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
