NEW MILFORD, NJ – A Mahwah man is facing a number of charges after a drunken rampage and crashing in New Milford on Monday night.
Daily Voice reported that Brian Lowe, a 38-year-old electrician, was drunk when he crashed first into a private residence near the intersection at Cedar Road and Boulevard. He drove away from that accident toward the south then made a turned left, driving over a couple of lawns before speeding down Hegi Drive. He abandoned the vehicle there, halfway between a driveway and the sidewalk.
He was attempting to hide under a nearby back porch when police apprehended him.
After behaving dangerously and erratically in a holding cell at the police station, he was transported to a Paramus hospital. There he received treatment and a psychological evaluation.
Lowe is facing 18 summonses. He will answer for DWI, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, and failing to keep right, as well.
