JERSEY CITY, NJ – a New Jersey Transit light-rail train struck and killed a pedestrian in Jersey City near midnight on Monday morning, according to Daily Voice.
A train on the Hudson Bergen light rail line struck a person on the tracks near the Danforth Avenue Station at about midnight on Monday morning. The accident took the life of the trespasser on the tracks.
Their identity is still under investigation.
The train was carrying two passengers at the time. No passengers or employees were injured.
The accident remains under investigation, even as service has reopened in the area.
