Lavallette – Pedestrian Injured in Grand Central Avenue Crash
A pedestrian was hit by a motor vehicle on Grand Central Avenue last Saturday October 19, leaving the pedestrian with serious injuries.
Police investigation the accident said the victim was walking around Grand Central Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. Saturday night when the accident happened. The victim was crossing the street on a crosswalk near Iceberg Ice Cream when he was struck by the motor vehicle. The victim, identified as a 70 year-old man from Lavallette was thrown to the side and lost consciousness.
EMS who responded to the call determined the victim had life-threatening injuries. The victim was then taken to an area hospital.
