BERGEN COUNTY, NJ – Route 17 near a gas station in Ramsey was closed for several hours on Monday morning after a driver ran into a utility pole.
According to Daily Voice, a driver ran into a utility pole in the parking lot of a QuickChek gas station on Route 17 near East Allendale Road at about 1:30 a.m. The impact snapped the pole and the top half was dangling from the wires.
The accident closed two northbound lanes of Route 17 for hours while the power company repaired the pole.
The driver escaped the accident without serious injuries.
