LYNDHURST, NJ – A woman walking to work in Lyndhurst was hurt after she was struck by a Jeep early this morning, according to the Daily Voice.
The crash occurred on Ridge Road, near Milton Avenue at about 6:30 a.m., as a 50-year-old woman from Kearny got off a bus and was crossing the street. She was struck by the driver of a Jeep and was thrown about 15 feet.
The victim was taken to the hospital in Newark with multiple injuries including back pain and head and facial wounds.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Fairfield, reportedly did not see her before the accident, as he was cresting a hill.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
