UNION, NJ – All of the express lanes on a section of Interstate 78 in Union were closed after a car accident on Friday afternoon, according to 511 New Jersey.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-78 near Exit 50 for Vauxhall Road just after noon. One of the involved vehicles involved began leading fuel, extensive cleanup.
All lanes were closed and traffic was detoured around the area for more than two and a half hours. A lane in the local lanes was also blocked because of the accident.
At least one person was injured in the accident.
