BRICK, NJ – A hit-and-run driver responsible for a crash on the Garden State Parkway was caught after a chase on foot Monday, according to Daily Voice.
The initial accident was reported to the police by a passing motorist at about 9 p.m. As police investigated, they found that suspected hit-and-run driver had left the parkway and pulled into an elementary school parking lot.
The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Timothy Gandy, left his silver Nissan Sentra parked at Lanes Mill Elementary school. The vehicle had airbags deployed and damage to the front end.
An officer found Gandy walking along Lanes Mill Road and questioned him about the incident. While the officer spoke with him, Gandy fled on foot into an apartment complex, where he was apprehended.
