HALEDON, NJ- A New Jersey Transit bus struck and killed a pedestrian on Thursday afternoon in Haledon, according to Daily Voice.
At approximately 4:30pm, a 67-year-old pedestrian was in the intersection of Belmont Avenue and West Haledon Avenue when a NJ Transit bus turning left struck the woman. She was quickly transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, however, she was pronounced dead at the hospital at approximately 6:00pm.
The driver was the only one on the bus at that time, a 703 bus heading to Haledon from East Rutherford.
