PERTH AMBOY, NJ – Police responded the scene of an accident Sunday in which a driver was shot and killed, precipitating a crash.
According to Daily Voice, police responded to the scene of the car crash and found a 41-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the driver’s seat. At about 11:35 p.m., the victim, Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, crashed his vehicle near the intersection of High Street and Hall Avenue.
Authorities arrived on the scene and transported to the man to Staten Island University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
It has not been determined whether the crash or the gunshot wounds caused Carrasquillo-Vasquez’s death. An autopsy has been performed and the results are expected to be released soon.
