NEWARK, NJ – Authorities are investigating and patrolling a Newark neighborhood for potential victims after several gun shots were fired on Saturday, sources report.
According to police, two vehicles drove up next to each other in the 145 14th Avenue area at approximately 3:30 p.m. and began to fire shots at each others’ cars.
Both vehicles sped away after the shots were fired.
Multiple shell castings were found at the scene.
Authorities notified nearby hospitals to report any gun shot victims since pedestrians or witnesses could have potentially also been hurt.
