OAKLAND, NJ – A vehicle accident caused a fuel spill on Interstate 287 in Oakland on Thursday afternoon, according to the state traffic incident report.
The crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes in an area north of Exit 57 for Skyline Drive.
Details on how the fuel spill happened have not been made available at this time.
The accident closed the left and the center lanes, causing up to 20-minute delays for drivers.
No injuries have been reported from the incident.
