WAYNE, NJ – Two vehicles crashed into different telephone poles causing severe damage and injuring four people on Wednesday afternoon, NJ Advance Media reports. Three of the victims were hospitalized.
The accidents happened on Ratzer Road near Garside Avenue in Passaic County at approximately 5:18 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the two vehicles had collided with two separate telephone poles.
One of the vehicles, a Honda CRV, driven by 38-year-old Antonio Cruz, had been traveling eastbound when it hit a pole. Cruz and the passenger, Jennelle Cruz, 38, both suffered serious injuries and were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The second vehicle, also a Honda CRV, was driving westbound on Ratzer Road when it hit a different telephone pole. The driver, 35-year-old Heuris Munoz suffered minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.
It is unclear if the accidents are related.
