NEWARK, NJ – Seven people, including five high school students, were hurt after a school bus was struck by an SUV in a hit-and-run crash in Newark yesterday, according to the Hackensack Daily Voice.
The crash happened near the intersection of South 11th St and Springfield Ave yesterday afternoon when a driver of a black Audi SUV collided with a school bus for West Side High School.
The driver of the SUV then fled the scene of the crash. At this time, there are no leads on the driver’s identity.
Seven people out of the 13 occupants were hurt in the crash with unspecified injuries.
The identities of the victims were not made public.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident at this time.
