WOOLWICH TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Pennsylvania man injured himself and five others in a wrong-way crash on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woolwich Township on Thursday.
According to the New Haven Register, 26-year-old Michael Forman was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into a minivan on Thanksgiving night head-on in the northbound lanes. The collision happened near Exit 2 at about 9:30 p.m.
The minivan was carrying a husband and wife from Edison and their three children. Fatima Shifan, 36, and her 11-year-old son were taken to a local hospital for serious injuries. Forman also sustained serious injuries.
The two other children and their dad, who was driving the minivan, needed treatment for minor injuries.
Forman is facing charges for drunk driving.
