GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ – Firefighters were working at the scene of a vehicle fire on the New Jersey Turnpike in Woolwich Township on Wednesday morning.
According to 511 New Jersey, a vehicle caught fire in the southbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike near Interchange 2 for US 322 at about 8:30 a.m.
Authorities blocked off the right lane while they knocked back the flames.
It is unclear whether the occupants were able to safely exit the vehicle. We will update this story as the situation continues to develop.
