SOUTH JERSEY, NJ – A 750-acre forest fire burned across two towns in South Jersey on Tuesday, sources report.
Firefighters were working to extinguish the fire near Winslow Road and Broadlane Road, close to Monroe Township.
Evacuations were not necessary. There were no immediate businesses or houses at risk in the area.
The New Jersey Forest Fire Service responded with both ground and air crews. The fire was 10% contained as of 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
Authorities say that residents should expect to see smoke around the area.
