JERSEY CITY, NJ – A 50-year-old woman described as a “person of interest” was taken into custody following a fire at a Jersey City seniors building on Monday, sources report.
Firefighters responded to the scene at around 5:30 p.m. located at Ocean Towers Senior Apartments at 425 Ocean Ave.
Jersey City Fire crew located the fire in the kitchen of an apartment on the eighth floor of a 10-story building.
All the senior residents were evacuated safely.
There were no injuries reported.
