BAYONNE, NJ – Firefighters were dispatched after a four-story apartment building caught on fire on May 30, sources report.
The fire broke out on the first floor of an apartment at approximately 5:01 a.m. on 41-43 Kelly Parkway.
Fire crew only used one hand line and took about 20 minutes to extinguish the fire that was contained to the kitchen of the apartment unit.
Two people were safely evacuated from their unit and refused medical attention.
The fire was deemed accidental and the occupants were allowed to occupy their unit after the fire. Only minor repairs need to be made.
No injuries were reported.
