GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ – Police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian from Camden in Deptford Township late on Friday night.
According to Nj.com, a 26-year-old Woodbury man was northbound on Route 42 when his Ford Focus struck the pedestrian at about 11:15 p.m.
The woman, identified as Vividiana Perez, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear how she came in the be in the travel lanes of Route 42.
The Woodbury driver and his passenger did not sustain any injuries.
The accident investigation is ongoing as authorities attempt to determine why Perez was on the highway.
