UNION COUNTY, NJ – Officials responded to the scene of a fatal pedestrian and vehicle accident in Linden a short time after midnight on Monday.
According to RLS Media, the incident was reported near the intersection of Park Avenue and East St. Georges Avenue at about 1:40 a.m.
The victim was suffering from critical injuries when authorities arrived and was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene, despite life-saving efforts. The victim has not been identified.
There is no word on whether the driver stopped and cooperated with authorities.
The Linden Police Department is investigating the accident.
