CUMBERLAND COUNTY, NJ – An elderly pedestrian was struck and killed in Cumberland County on Wednesday evening, according to NJ.com.
The 82-year-old woman was crossing in the 1300 block of Fairton Road at about 7:40 p.m. She was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by a 59-year-old man.
The victim, identified as Immacolat Delvicario, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities. He had sustained minor injuries and was then evaluated at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. The other occupants of the vehicle were uninjured.
The accident is still under investigation but at this time no charges have been filed.
