UNION TOWNSHIP, NJ – An elderly man was hurt in a pin-in collision between a car and a semi-truck in Union Township on Thursday, according to NJ.com.
The accident occurred near Exit 11 of eastbound Route 78 just before 1 p.m. when the 81-year-old driver of a silver Lexus rear-ended a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the Lexus was trapped in the wreckage of the Lexus and had to be extracted by emergency crews. He was taken to a local hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
The 43-year-old driver of the truck was not reported as hurt.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the accident at this time.
